WIN $147 CE: How does your product give Lulu what she wants?

Good sales and marketing folks know they need to give people what they want.
"Give people what they want and you'll be rich!"

Sounds good.

Let's try it. Take your favorite product and show us how you'd complete this sentence. [Lulu is someone you've just met through a friend.]

Use the principles in Post #1 and #2 in this blog (scroll down to see those) and tell us how you'd complete this statement:
"Lulu, here's how this product gives you what you want."
Winner gets the new and expanded 12 CD Customer Enchilada Program - $147 value. It should be out within two weeks. We'll take entries for the next 72 hours. Starting now, March 17, 1:55PM CT.

P.S. It's a little tricky, just like marketing. Hehehe.

So, Lulu, from what you said you're still tired much of the time and don't know what to do about it. You've tried taking vitamins but they don't seem to help. You also said that they were a brand that you bought at the drugstore. The vitamins I sell are all natural whole food supplements and many studies indicate that only natural whole food vitamins are absorbed by your body. That is why Americans have such expensive urine. Also, your body may not be able to absorb the nutrients from the food that you eat if you're digestive system isn't working properly. Using natural vitamins and a pro-biotic supplement helped me a great deal and I don't know if it would also work for you but what if it could? Would you be interested in trying them?

Lulu,
You said you are tired much of the time and the doctor cannot find anything wrong with you. I used to be like that too till one day a friend of mine gave me this energy drink. I was skeptical but I tried it. Guess what? It worked. I take it every morning and sometimes I take it again later in the day if I need to. I am not tired anymore. I like it so much that I decided to make it available to other people like me. Would you be interested in trying it? I can share some samples with you? What if it works for you like it did for me?

lulu, my wife and I both had the same symptoms. A friend of ours introduced us to the products we now take. Within 2 months all of the tiredness went away. Would you like to know about these products???

Kim,

Right, this is not easy. Here's my first try.

I know Lulu has night sweats and doesn't want to use drugs but she wants relief. So I would tell my story:

Lulu, about 2 years ago I started going through the change. I had horrible night sweats. I didn't want to take drugs so I gave up coffee, kept the house cooler and tried herbs. I'd still wake up sticky and sweaty, it was gross. I gave up and thought night sweats were going to be a way of life for the next few years. Then I tried this product for something else and was surprised when the night sweats were gone after about a week. My night sweats have been under control for 6 months and I did it without drugs.

If it helped you the way it did me would you want to try it?

Lulu, I can certainly identify with your wanting to find a good nutrition program. Last year, when my doctor told me he saw the beginnings of heart disease, I knew I had to make some changes. I investigated many companies and products.

I learned of a company that had the patent on a machine, invented at the renowned University of Utah Medical School. It measured the antioxidant level of individuals with total accuracy. They also have a faculty of 150 PHD Scientists working at this company. They guarantee that if anyones antioxidant level had not significantly improved after sixty days on their product, they will refund your money. The machine does not know if you have been using their product, so the results are totally accurate. That really impressed me and the benefits I have received from using the product have more than exceeded my expectations. Lulu, you have nothing to lose and perhaps your good health to regain by using these vitamins.

Lulu, from what you've told me you are always tired but the doctor can't find what might cause it, right? Let me tell you my story, ok? I had no energy or motivation last year. A friend gave me a free sample of a drink to try that worked for her. So I tried it and after a few weeks, I had more energy, desire and motivation for everyday normal things and best of all, I sleep like a log every night!. Would you like to try it and see if it works for you like it does for me?

"Lulu, here's how Photomax gives you what you want. Sure, we have great prices @9 cents per print, but we are the only service that can take that box or boxes of deteriorating, fading, and cracking photos and convert them to digitized copies. Now Lulu, your precious memories can be preserved and you can share them with the whole family for free. Besides that then you can make your own beautiful coffee table photobooks or put them into slide programs or even make a movie of your grandparents photos and impress your uncle Jim and aunt Susie.
Now, Lulu, wasn't that just what you were looking for? Now you can have it."

Lulu I can so relate to lack of energy. About a year and a half ago I was experiencing the same thing which I thought was weird as I have supplemented my diet for years wth what I considered to be very good supplements. While cruising through church one day I was stopped by a friend who was all excited about having all this energy and asked if I'd check out their website. And, by the way, they said, a side benefit is weight loss. Well, that got my attention and I took a good look at them and noticed how terrific they looked. So, I went home, looked at their website and immediately ordered some product. The first thing I noticed was I no longer felt that I needed a nap about 2:00 in the afternoon. And, I was no longer craving wrong foods. As I continued to follow the program, I lost 27 punds in 7 weeks. I've never lost weight like that on any program not to mention feeling so great during the process. I can't promise you'll have the same results but I can promise you the products are natural and organic and taste great. And, if you are not satisfied there is a money back guarantee. Here's my card with my website listed which is ....When's a good time for me to follow up and answer any questions?

I am patiently listening to Lula as she tells me that she is tired most of the time and the doctor cannot find anything wrong with you. She has night sweats and don't want to use drugs but she wants relief. She has tried taking vitamins but they don't seem to help. She wants to find a good nutrition program.

My conversation to Lulu would be to ask if she is open to trying a new approach in finding a solution to relieving pain, increase energy, and provide a good nutrition program? If her answer is yes I would than tell her about product and give her the information evaluate my product to see if it will meet her needs.

I would listen to what Lulu had to say.

I would then ask Lulu if she would be interested in trying an alternative health product to see if it might help her.

I would ask her if she would be interested in trying a sample of my product to see if she liked it.

Lulu,

You said that since you turned 40 you've been feeling tired, have no energy, and have an extra fifteen pounds you've like to lose. Like you, I struggled with having enough energy to get through the day and just couldn't seem to lose the menopause weight. One day at lunch, a friend gave me a packet and told me to rip and sip. By the time lunch was over, I noticed I had eaten less than usual. An hour later, I noticed I was more focused and not nodding at my desk. I'm now ten pounds lighter and have the energy to actively engage my children when I get home from work.

Lulu, you've said you're willing to try almost anything. What if you had the same results as I did? Would that meet your needs?

Lulu, this is how Immunocal can give you what you want. You have told me you suffer with recurrent sinus infections that stem from allergies and that you catch every bug that comes along. Immunocal will give your body what it needs to make more glutathione, an essential building block to a healthy immune system. Low glutathione levels are associated with allergies, early aging, degenerative diseases and cancer. Taking Immunocal will keep you healthy during the spring allergy season. I can show you how to get a 40% discount. Wouldn't it be worth it to spend this spring enjoying the beauty of nature instead of cooped up inside losing wages, paying for antibiotics and being miserable with a sinus infection?

Hi Lulu -- It was so nice meeting you yesterday when you were shopping with Mary for some new exercise outfits. I only have a minute, but I'm calling because you mentioned how tired and sore you were after your exercise routine, and that you just don't seem to have the energy for workouts that you used to have.
I was a total couch potato with chronic back pain until a few months ago when a trusted friend introduced me to an all natural fruit juice drink. Since I've been drinking it my back pain has all but disappeared, I have the energy to exercise again, and my muscles aren't stiff and sore even after longer workouts. It may not work the same way for you, but what if it did? Would you like to try drinking this all natural juice, or do you know someone who might be interested in a product like this?

What if I could show you a possible solution that might help you overcome this energy drain you feel every afternoon? Would you be interested in learning how it might help you like it has helped me. I’d be happy to show want I’ve learned and how it solved my problem.

Lulu, your life seems so busy! Sometimes it’s hard to keep your chin up. I was really struggling after the birth of my sixth baby. Yeah, that’s right, six, and he had some serious medical problems. My husband had a new job, we moved to a new town. I needed help to get through my challenges. A friend told us about a new product on the market. It is based on Traditional Asian Medicine, and helps restore balance to your body. For me, the biggest selling point was the clinical study that proves it helps boost mood and energy. So, I skeptically tried it, and now I love it! I sleep better at night, and I have a much brighter outlook on life. In fact, my brother-in-law tried it, and he has now quit taking his medication for mild depression. It tastes really great, too (my kids all ask for it daily). Lulu, this is something that might help you, too. There are other people who have also had great experiences with this product, and I am happy to let you hear their story if you are interested. I have a sample right here for you. Would you like to give it a try?

Oh my word, Lulu, I was a screaming maniac mother too. I was so stressed that I would go to a number 10 red alert every time the kids did the smallest thing--like putting a fork in the dishwasher wrong. I came down on them so hard that I embarrassed myself and I would go to bed at night fretting that I was a terrible mother.

I started using a special juice and some essential oils, and within a month, I was back to my old self. I had my sense of humor back, I was more patient and far less stressed. Best of all, I felt like a good mother. Do you know of anyone who might be interested in something like that?

Lulu, you said you're always tired and sick every few weeks. I felt like you did after the birth of my second child. I had to see my doctor 3 times a month and the druggist knew where in the bin to reach when she saw me. My friend approached me with this product that came in powdered form, mix it with water and drink it. No need for your body to break down a pill and process it. So I tried it. After a week or so I felt like my body was functioning like it should and I wasn't as sick as often anymore. That was a few years ago. Now my doctor asks me to come in for my annual visit since I hardly see him anymore. Why don't you give it a try? There is a trial size available.

Hello Lulu, I'm glad to meet you. I market a product for people who feel tired all the time and lack energy, like I used to be. Then one day I tried a product and in about a month I noticed I wasn't tired all the time and had more energy. Do you know anyone who might like to know about a product like that?

Hi Lulu,

I can relate to your suffering and want to extend my empathy. When I changed my to by present primary care Dr., she make me take this purple powder mixed in water to turn in into a solution the stomach thinks is all ready digested, they call it isotonic in that state.

After asking why she wanted me to use this purple stuff she said, "Because it make my catarac go away, without surgery, and it also saved my husband, Jay's life. He had been struggling since his quadruple bypass surgery and I thought I was going to lose him, Having those successes I started to give it to my patients, six of whom had never been able to carry a baby to term; now they all have happy, healthy babies. Since it's isotonic, when mixed proberly, it's 95% bio-available and easily absorbed." If you would like to talk to her, she will be able to relate more details than I can remember. I don't know how your body will react to our products but if your like the majority, they certainly will help; I know they did for me.

The upshot is, Isotonix Supplements allow you to get full value from the money you spend as opposed to sending 80% or more down the toilet. I especially like that!

Is there any reason you would not want to get started and feel better sooner than later?

Hey Lulu,
I hear you on growing old! You know what's worse than growing old? Losing your hair along the way! You know? Crap, makes you look even older. That's what heppened to me and I'm 54! My hair was fallening out in clumps! Dandrif ...it wasn't pretty. So, I tried all kinds of products too - didn't work. I stopped using conditioner because my hair got so slimey I looked like Morticia from the Adams family! Not quite the look I was aiming for. I did come across X and look at my hair... feel it! I can't use anything else now. I don't have those problems anymore. I feel great because I know my hair looks great, and how I look growing older is important to me.So, here's a sample, enjoy! Let me know what you think.

So Lulu... how much time do we have? I think our conversation will take maybe 30 minutes give or take ... do you have that much time ... good... ok so tell me what you are experiencing ... the point here is for you to help me understand what it is that you are wanting to improve ... since we all have different words or ways to describe our needs I will be aksing more questions as our conversation continues ... does this make sense ... is this ok with you ...? Good .. let's continue then ...

The first thing I have to establish is trust and credibility. You can't do that by flying at someone with your personal testimonial, product knowledge or company literature.

You have to be a good listener. You have to be a genuine friend. Friends helping friends. You can't help you friends if you are only talking about what you want.

Here is the setup. Given my product is a nutritional beverage (alternative functional food), Lulu must have told me she is concerned about future problems and/or is already suffering health issues and she recognizes the importance of nutrition as a factor in her overall health BEFORE my product could be a "fit" for Lulu.

"If" I hear Lulu say she would like to learn more about alternatives to her health issues, I can suggest I might be able to help her. If I don't recognize she has a problem that I can assist her with, I should not recommend a solution. No problem, no solution.

I am looking to determine that Lulu does in fact perceive she has a problem. Then I want to isolate that problem. I might dig deeper by exploring the impact Lulu sees if she doesn't find a solution to the problem.

Then, only after I clearly understand the problem AND the importance of a solution (in Lulu's terms, not mine) can I say that I think "I know What Lulu wants".

Now if I really examine and reflect for just a moment on what Lulu wants, I can begin to recognize the "lifestyle" Lulu sees for herself.

I find it helpful to restate what my prospect has told me. As an example I might now say, "Lulu, if I understand what you are telling me, you are saying you really are looking for better health and would love to find an easier way to feel better and look younger and have more energy without taking medicines. Does that sound about right?"

Now Lulu is not really looking for a product. She is looking for a lifestyle solution. I have to see this in order to connect with her. I must have a solution that addresses her in terms of the lifestyle change she wants.

Now that I know what Lulu wants, I can "recommend" I might be able to help.

My statement might go something like this:

"Well Lulu, based on what you are telling me, and of course I don't know for sure, but I might know about something that you might be interested in.

It wasn't that long ago and I found myself in a similar situation when a close friend of mine and I were talking. He recognized that I had some concerns about my health. His name is Kyle. Anyway, Kyle recommended a product to me that I have absolutely fallen in love with. Of course it is convenient and extremely affordable, but, more importantly, this product was just what I was looking for. Would you be interested in learning more about what I discovered?"

Here I have "checked Lulu's temperature and interest level about my solution. Depending on the amount of time we have, I might continue with more information or even do a full presentation, though this would be rare. Remember, trust and credibility are the key to your success. I never want to sound desperate or over excited. This could make me sound like a salesman, bad plan!

At this point, I might explain to Lulu the relationship I have with the company. Remember, I have to maintain trust with her.

So I might say something like: "I have to be honest with you Lulu, I fell in love with the company and the product. I found that by getting a membership I could even purchase the product at wholesale! So I paid for a membership and now I am even making a bit of money every month. (I might even admit I am making a lot of money every week!) How about that, the company is paying me and now I enjoy the product everyday!"

Now again, depending on the time available and Lulu's interest, I can share more information or setup a time for another meeting.

If I am really prepared, I have some product to share (I do) and some product information that Lulu can checkout for herself.

I find it much better to "follow up" with a meeting on the phone, at their home, or some other place of convenience. I schedule some time to spend when the agenda is to explore the product more fully. I want their undivided attention. A professional process maintains credibility and trust.

Of course, the topic might (and usually does) drift into a discussion of how one can make a bit of extra money (or a lot..he he) by recommending the product to others.

Most importantly, I must stay connected with what Lulu finds important. What Lulu wants! Maintain credibility and trust. Be excited and proud but not desperate.

I check my performance by how many questions my prospect is asking about my product, or my company. If they aren't asking questions, I might be over-selling.

I always want to leave with them wanting (or begging) for more information. I always try to hold back a lot more information that I am giving out. I always try to have fun which is another good check on my performance. If I am not having fun the prospect isn't either.

We seem to be assuming that we've had a conversation with Lulu where Lulu has indicated she has a problem that our product can solve.

I would ask her questions to see if there really is a match between her problem and my product as a solution.

Those questions might be:
How long have you been dealing with this problem?
What do you think brought this on?
Have you seen a doctor about this?
Did the doctor help at all?
What else have you tried?

When I am certain what it is Lulu wants and that she desires to solve her problem, I would say something like this:

"Lulu, I market a product that might help you with your problem. I don't know for sure, but let me tell you what happened to me and then you can decide if you want to try it."

I would then tell her my story and let her decide.

If, however, I am not certain there is a match, I might send her to my blog which is about general health issues. There she can get a free report on stress, how it affects our health and what can be done about it. (Or rather she will be able to in the near future. This is a project I am working on.) My product counter-acts the effects of stress, but my free report is not about my product, but about what else can be done to counter-act stress.

If I determine that there is no match, I can either let it go or ask her for a referral.

Then I am the first to change the subject. Inevitibly, the person I'm talking with goes back to the subject of health.

I have a business card with this written on it, word-for-word, as well as my web address, www.PurpleGreenPops.com. My card also has my blog address, PaulsHealthBlog.com.
